The incident occurred in the evening hours at a hotel in the Kırkpınar Tepebaşı neighborhood of the district. Elif Nur Olgun, who was swimming in the hotel's indoor pool with her husband, suddenly fell ill and nearly drowned. The woman was pulled from the pool by her husband and staff, and after initial first aid by health teams who arrived at the scene following a report, she was taken to the hospital. Olgun, who was brought to the hospital unconscious, could not be saved.
INVESTIGATION LAUNCHED INTO THE INCIDENT
The body of Elif Nur Olgun, who was known to have a heart condition, was sent to the Sakarya Training and Research Hospital Korucuk Preliminary Autopsy Center to determine the exact cause of death. The investigation into the incident continues.
