"Words from Acun Ilıcalı about Anderson Talisca"

29.11.2024 11:50

Fenerbahçe Club Vice President Acun Ilıcalı responded to claims regarding the transfer of Anderson Talisca. Ilıcalı stated that there is currently no situation where it can be said "it's done and we've signed him." Additionally, Ilıcalı expressed that they are focusing on transfers following Fenerbahçe's 2-1 victory over the Czech representative Slavia Prague. He mentioned that there are matters that require time and that the press needs news, which is why various speculations have emerged.

Fenerbahçe Club Vice President Acun Ilıcalı commented on the claims regarding the transfer of Portuguese footballer Anderson Talisca, who plays for Saudi Arabia's Al-Nassr team, saying, "These are matters that require a process. We are also going through certain processes. Right now, there is no situation where we can say 'it's done and we've signed him'."

After the match where Fenerbahçe defeated Czech representative Slavia Prague 2-1 away, Ilıcalı stated that they are focused on transfers.

Addressing the claims that the yellow-navy club has reached an agreement with Anderson Talisca, Ilıcalı said:

"There is a lot of speculation. We are extremely focused on transfers. However, the situation is not as positive as what has been written. These are matters that require a process. We are also going through certain processes. Right now, there is no situation where we can say 'it's done and we've signed him'. When these news came out, it was during the national team break. The press also needed news. That week, news came out that we were signing Ronaldo and Talisca. I believe we are going into this year's transfers with 100%. After Oğuz Aydın's recent performance, all the transfers have worked out. En-Nesyri scored a goal, Maximin is here, Oğuz Aydın is playing, Amrabat is here. They have provided great contributions. Our goal is to strengthen the team during the mid-season break in consultation with our coach. We have foreign player rights, and we will use them."

"Our goal is to qualify directly."

Evaluating the 3 points gained in the away match against Slavia Prague, Ilıcalı expressed that they are very happy with the result.

Emphasizing that they won in a very difficult away match, Ilıcalı stated, "We are very happy to have made both our citizens who came this far and the millions of Fenerbahçe fans watching from home happy. It was a very tough away match, but we are Fenerbahçe. There were many matches where we were very unlucky before this. We had many missing players. To leave here with a victory despite so many absences is very important for us." he said.

The yellow-navy executive mentioned that anything could happen in the remaining 3 weeks of the UEFA Europa League, and continued:

"In the new format, anything can happen. In the current system of the UEFA Europa League, anything can happen. There are three more matches. I see our chances as high, and we have always seen them as high. But this is football. Our goal is to qualify directly, and we will push this to the end. We have a very tough schedule. When you look at the matches we have played, you can see that we have faced very tough opponents. We had serious absences along with Amrabat and Mert Hakan. The names in the UEFA squad are predetermined, and you cannot make additions. With so many absences, gaining 3 points in such an away match made us very happy."

Finally, regarding the performance of Youssef En-Nesyri, who brought the victory in the match, Ilıcalı stated, "Every footballer needs time to adapt. En-Nesyri is also adapting more and more every day, moving forward. He played for a short time but was the one who turned the match around. I really like him. I believe he is the player that Fenerbahçe needs and that he will provide great benefits in the future." he evaluated.
