Refuting his earlier statement, "We will never bring in foreign referees again," Hacıosmanoğlu said, "We do not have a definitive decision regarding the referee for the Beşiktaş-Galatasaray match. We will reassess the situation."
After Slavko Vincic officiated the Galatasaray - Fenerbahçe derby, attention turned to the upcoming match between Beşiktaş and Galatasaray. TFF President İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu spoke about the issue of foreign referees.
BEŞIKTAŞ HAD APPLIED
Beşiktaş had applied to the TFF for a foreign referee to officiate the derby they will play against Galatasaray. After the Beşiktaş-Gaziantep FK match played last night in the Super League, the Black-Whites reiterated their request for a foreign referee through official channels.
FOREIGN REFEREE STATEMENT
TFF President İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu made a statement regarding foreign referees. Speaking at the TFF's sponsorship agreement, Hacıosmanoğlu stated that no decision has been made yet and that they will reevaluate the situation.
Turkey Football Federation President İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu responded to Zeki Uzundurukan's words on A Spor, "I spoke with İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu, a foreign referee will never come again." After the sponsorship agreement, İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu, speaking to Ekol TV, said, "I never said anything like 'never' to anyone. If I say something, if I make a statement, you will all hear it," he expressed.
Continuing his statements, İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu said, "We will not make a decision just because clubs wanted this or that. We will not. We will sit together and make a decision." Responding to claims that a foreign referee will not come for the Beşiktaş-Galatasaray match, İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu stated, "We do not have a definite decision regarding the referee for the Beşiktaş-Galatasaray match. We will reevaluate."
