The incident occurred around 15:30 at the Faculty of Dentistry construction site within the ADÜ campus in the Efeler district. Ferhat Çakır, who was engaged in exterior cladding work on the building, fell from a height of 30 meters and was seriously injured after the platform he was on came loose while working on the scaffolding.

Health and police teams were dispatched to the scene following a report from other workers. After initial medical intervention, Çakır was taken to Adnan Menderes University Hospital for treatment. It was reported that Çakır's life remains in danger. Meanwhile, the incident was captured on the construction site's security camera. An investigation into the incident has been launched.
