The incident occurred at night in the 5th phase area of the Alanya Integrated Solid Waste Evaluation Disposal and Energy Production Facility, owned by a private company, located in the Türkler neighborhood of Alanya district. During the waste sorting process, workers found a baby’s body on the sorting conveyor. Upon the workers' notification, gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the area.

It was determined that the lifeless body belonged to a male newborn and that the umbilical cord was still attached. After the investigations by the crime scene and prosecutor's teams, the baby's body was taken to the Antalya Forensic Medicine Institution's morgue. An investigation has been initiated regarding the incident, and a dead male newborn baby was also found at the same facility in May 2022.
