Palestinian groups stated that U.S. President Donald Trump's plan to invade and purchase Gaza signifies a declaration of war aimed at uprooting the Palestinian people from their lands.
The Follow-up Committee, affiliated with the Palestinian Islamic and National Forces Coalition, which brings together all groups under one roof, responded to Trump's statements regarding Gaza on February 9 with a published statement.
"IT REQUIRES A POSITION TO BE TAKEN BY THE ARAB WORLD"
The statement included the following expressions: "Trump's recent statements reveal the true face of the US-Zionism partnership against our people, and this situation means a new declaration of war aimed at uprooting our people from the Gaza Strip. These statements contain a dangerous sign regarding the intentions of the upcoming US administration and necessitate a decisive position from the international and Arab world to thwart these plans."
"THE PROJECT AIMED AT DISPLACING PALESTINIANS MUST BE STOPPED"
The Committee called for "functional steps to be taken to play an effective and significant role against these murder plans at the Arab Summit to be hosted by Egypt on February 27." Emphasizing that "any project aimed at relocating or displacing Palestinians under any political or humanitarian formula or guise must be blocked," the Committee urged the Arab world to take immediate legal and political action at the international level to expose the crimes committed by Israel.
"NO FORCED RELOCATION, NO UPROOTING"
The statement highlighted the need to strengthen the resistance of the Palestinian cause over its lands, emphasizing that it is essential to politically and materially support the steadfastness of the Palestinian people in Gaza, the West Bank, and within Israel.
The statement underscored the importance of Arab countries rejecting any American pressure to implement forced relocation plans, reminding that any tolerance in this regard would mean "directly becoming a partner in the ongoing crimes of occupation." The statement concluded with the phrases, "No forced relocation, no uprooting, no surrender; Gaza will stand tall, and Palestine will belong entirely to its people."
