A suspect producing assassination weapons that cannot be detected by metal detectors using a 3D printer was captured by the gendarmerie in Ankara. During the operation, many weapons and ammunition were seized.
The teams of the Provincial Gendarmerie Command's Smuggling and Organized Crime Branch and the Intelligence Branch in Ankara identified a suspect who was seeking to sell firearms that could not be detected by X-ray devices produced with a 3D printer.
HE WAS DETAINED
The suspect B.U., whose address was determined through technical and physical work, was detained at his home in the Yenimahalle district.
WHAT CAME OUT OF HIS HOUSE LEFT PEOPLE SPEECHLESS
During the search of the house, 8 pieces of "Harlot 22" model pistols made with a 3D printer marked as 22 caliber, 8 pistol magazines, 9 pistol springs, 22 pieces of 9mm caliber pistol ammunition, 90 pieces of 22 caliber ammunition of unknown origin, a 3D printer, and a memory card containing drawings of the pistol model were seized.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
