Yellow-coded warning from Meteorology for 5 provinces! What will the weather be like in Istanbul on Sunday?

In Istanbul, oppressed by high temperatures and humidity, thunderstorms are expected this afternoon. The General Directorate of Meteorology has issued a strong wind warning for the west of Marmara and the Northern Aegean coast, in addition to the rainfall expected to be effective on Sunday. The Meteorology also issued a yellow-coded warning for 5 provinces.

According to the latest assessments by the Turkish State Meteorological Service (MGM): the northern parts of the country and the Mediterranean will be partly and locally very cloudy. The east of Marmara, the Taurus region of the Mediterranean, the Western and Eastern Black Sea, the Central Black Sea coast, and the northeast of Eastern Anatolia are expected to have local showers and thunderstorms, while other areas are expected to be partly cloudy and clear.

Precipitation is expected to be locally strong, especially around Rize, Artvin, Kars, Ardahan, and the northeastern parts of Erzurum. Strong winds from the north are also expected in the west of Marmara and the Northern Aegean coast, and caution is advised for this reason.

TEMPERATURES AND HIGH HUMIDITY CONTINUE

Temperatures are expected to be above seasonal norms in the southern parts of the country and around seasonal norms elsewhere.

WHAT WILL THE WEATHER BE LIKE IN ISTANBUL?

In Istanbul, the temperature is expected to be between 30-32 degrees today. According to the latest forecasts from Meteorology, there is an expectation of thunderstorms in the city after noon today.

In addition to Istanbul, showers will be seen along the coastline in Thrace, the east of Marmara, and the Black Sea. The showers will only be effective on Sunday. Precipitation is expected to be locally strong, especially around Rize, Artvin, Kars, Ardahan, and the northeastern parts of Erzurum. Strong winds from the north are also expected in the west of Marmara and the Northern Aegean coast, and caution is advised for this reason.

Adana: Slightly cloudy and clear, 37 degrees

Antalya: Slightly cloudy and clear, 33 degrees

Ankara: Partly cloudy, 34 degrees

Eskisehir: Partly cloudy, 32 degrees

Bolu: Partly cloudy, becoming very cloudy at times, with local showers and thunderstorms, 29 degrees

Duzce: Partly cloudy, becoming very cloudy at times, with local showers and thunderstorms, 31 degrees

Rize: Expected to be partly and very cloudy, with local showers and thunderstorms. Precipitation is expected to be locally strong. 29 degrees.

Trabzon: Partly and very cloudy, with local showers and thunderstorms, 28 degrees

Erzurum: Expected to be partly and very cloudy, with local showers and thunderstorms. Precipitation is expected to be locally strong in the northern districts. 29 degrees

Kars: Expected to be partly and very cloudy, with local showers and thunderstorms. Precipitation is expected to be locally strong. 27 degrees
