In the village of Ballıca in Elazığ, a yellow crab spider, known in the literature as 'Thomisidae' and very rarely seen in Turkey, was captured on a citizen's mobile phone camera. Despite its small size, this spider is a skilled hunter; it camouflages itself by taking on the color of flowers, spends its life on flowers, and feeds on insects.

IT TAKES ON THE COLOR OF THE FLOWER IT SETTLES ON
Since it usually hunts by camouflaging itself among flowers of the same color, there is no evidence that the yellow crab spider lives in the region; despite being small, it is known as a very good hunter.
The spider, which camouflages itself by taking on the color of the flower, spends its entire life on the flower it has settled on, feeding on insects that come to the plants.
