Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's 18-year-old daughter Vivienne has officially dropped her father's surname. The young woman, who changed her name to Vivienne Marcheline Jolie by court decision, became the fourth child of the famous actor to legally remove his surname.

Their 18-year-old daughter Vivienne, of the former couple whose lengthy divorce process received wide coverage in the world press, decided not to legally use her father's surname. The young woman's application was accepted by the court.
SHE CHANGED HER SURNAME BY COURT RULING
According to reports in the US press, Vivienne Marcheline Jolie-Pitt, after turning 18, applied to a court in Los Angeles in July requesting that 'Pitt' be removed from her surname.
At the hearing held on November 2, the court approved the name change after no objection was filed to the application. Thus, Vivienne's official name became Vivienne Marcheline Jolie.
THE FOURTH CHILD TO DROP HER FATHER'S SURNAME
Vivienne is not the first child of Brad Pitt to legally drop his surname. Previously, Shiloh, Maddox and Zahara had also filed similar applications and changed their surnames.
While the process Shiloh initiated in 2024 concluded with a court ruling, Maddox and Zahara's applications were also accepted in 2026. It was stated that Vivienne's twin brother Knox used only the surname 'Jolie' at his graduation, but there was no confirmation that he had made a legal name change.

Vivienne's decision to drop her father's surname is not actually coming up for the first time. In 2024, the young woman appeared under the name Vivienne Jolie in the program for the Broadway production 'The Outsiders,' on which she worked with her mother Angelina Jolie.
At the time, it was unknown whether this choice was only a professional use, but with the latest court ruling, the change became official.
