CHP Group Chairman Özgür Özel was welcomed with drums and zurna by party members in Trabzon as part of his Anatolia tour. Özel was gifted a taka model and a rosary. Speaking there, Özel thanked his supporters and said, 'You are on the right side of history today. The side where Özgür Özel stands, the side where Ekrem İmamoğlu stands, the side where Mansur Yavaş stands; that is the right side of history.' He also visited Ekrem İmamoğlu's father-in-law in the hospital.
CHP Chairman Özgür Özel has started his Anatolia tour. Özel was greeted by party members upon his arrival at Trabzon Airport in the morning for a public meeting program he will organize in Gümüşhane.
TAKA MODEL AND ROSARY PRESENTED
Özel, who was welcomed outside the VIP lounge with drum and zurna music and a horon performance, was presented with a taka model and a rosary.
In his speech to those who came to greet him at Trabzon Airport, Özel thanked those who supported them during their march to the Turkish Grand National Assembly and Anıtkabir, and during their holiday greetings program.
He stated that in the first step outside Ankara, he would go to Gümüşhane, Tokat, Çorum, and Nevşehir for the local by-elections to be held on Sunday, June 7.

Özel, stating that they started the first march from Trabzon, spoke as follows: "The first steps were destined for Trabzon for this march. I came to Trabzon with great pleasure. We have our Trabzon provincial organization, our mayors, our MPs, mayors from the Black Sea region, MPs, and our organization. I thank each of you individually for your support and this historical embrace, and I want to express that you are on the right side of history today. You are here to be on the right side of history. The side where Özgür Özel stands, the side where Ekrem İmamoğlu stands, the side where Mansur Yavaş stands is the right side of history. We are the elected ones, we are those who believe in the ballot box. We are the ones who will bring the ballot box to Turkey and change the government, and you are our only guarantee. Are you with us to march towards power together? Then let's go, vira bismillah."
VISITED İMAMOĞLU'S FATHER-IN-LAW
Later, Özel visited Fehmi Kaya, the father-in-law of Ekrem İmamoğlu, who was removed from his post as Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor following his arrest in the 'İmamoğlu criminal organization for profit' case, at the Kanuni Training and Research Hospital where he is being treated.
