STATEMENT FROM GOVERNOR ŞILDAK
Şanlıurfa Governor Hasan Şıldak stated in a post on his social media account, "Every year, we lose many of our children by drowning in irrigation canals and dam lakes. Unfortunately, today we lost two more children. Irrigation canals, dam lakes, and ponds are not suitable places for swimming, playing, or entering for any other purpose.
Entering these areas is extremely dangerous and has been prohibited by a decision of the governorship. Dear citizens, please do not allow your children to enter, approach, or play in dangerous and prohibited water channels, dam lakes, and ponds. When you approach these areas, always keep your children under your supervision. Do not let the source of life, water, darken their lives," he said.
