A lawsuit has been filed against social media influencer Mükremin Gezgin on charges of 'obscenity.' The court has placed Gezgin under house arrest. His case came to the forefront due to his social media posts.

The phenomenon Mükremin Gezgin shared videos on his social media accounts in which he asked boys, "Am I not a woman?" Following the video sharing featuring children, the Ministry of Family and Social Services filed a criminal complaint against Gezgin for 'indecent behavior' and 'obscenity'. Mükremin Gezgin, who was detained in Ankara as part of an investigation initiated by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, was brought to court after his interrogation. The court issued a house arrest sentence for Gezgin for the crime of 'obscenity'.
