The accident occurred in the evening hours near the town of Büyükkarıştıran, on the highway connecting Tekirdağ's Muratlı district and Kırklareli's Lüleburgaz district. The light commercial vehicle, driven by A.Ç, began to drag after the driver lost control and crashed into the barriers.

Upon notification, police, medical, and fire teams were dispatched to the scene. The injured were taken to Tekirdağ İsmail Fehmi Cumalıoğlu City Hospital.
