A 45-year-old midwife, Ayşe Ceylan, lost her life after falling from a minibus whose driver opened the door as it approached a stop in the Söke district of Aydın. An investigation has been launched regarding the accident.

A tragic fatal traffic accident occurred last night in the rural Bağarası neighborhood of Söke district in Aydın. According to reports, the minibus driver S.K. opened the door of the passenger minibus with license plate 09 M 2540 as he approached the stop.
THE MIDWIFE WHO FELL FROM THE OPEN DOOR OF THE MINIBUS LOST HER LIFE
Ayşe Ceylan, a midwife working at Söke Family Health Center No. 3, lost her balance and fell while preparing to get off the minibus. Health and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the area upon notification.
After the first intervention at the accident site, Ceylan was taken to Söke State Hospital by ambulance. She was later transferred to Aydın Adnan Menderes University Hospital. Despite the interventions made there, Ceylan passed away yesterday.
THE MINIBUS DRIVER WAS DETAINED
In the investigation launched regarding the accident, minibus driver S.K. was detained.
CONDOLENCE MESSAGE FROM THE PROVINCIAL HEALTH DIRECTOR
Aydın Provincial Health Director Dr. Eser Şenkul stated on his social media account, "I have learned that our personnel at Söke Family Health Center No. 3, Midwife Ayşe Ceylan, has passed away as a result of a tragic traffic accident. I wish God's mercy upon the deceased and offer my condolences to her family, loved ones, and our health community," he expressed.
SHE WILL BE FAREWELLED TODAY
It has been reported that Ceylan's funeral will be buried after the prayer to be held today in the rural Çalışlı neighborhood of Söke. The investigation regarding the accident is ongoing.
