An investigation has been launched against the Manifest group, which performed in Beşiktaş, on charges of "indecent behavior" and "exhibitionism." While the group members were released under judicial control, it was learned that concerts began to be canceled following the recent developments.
During their concert in Beşiktaş, the Manifest group, which was subjected to an investigation due to allegations of "indecent behavior" and "exhibitionism," was released under judicial control after the prosecutor's questioning. Following the events, the group's concerts began to be canceled one after another.
On the evening of September 6, 2025, the Manifest group, which took the stage in Beşiktaş, was subjected to an official investigation by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office for "indecent behavior" and "exhibitionism."
RELEASED UNDER JUDICIAL CONTROL
In a statement from the prosecutor's office, it was noted that behaviors contrary to the common morality, decency, and modesty of society were exhibited during the concert. It was expressed that these behaviors could have negative effects, especially on children and young people, and could also lead to the deterioration of cultural values. The group members who were detained as part of the investigation were released under judicial control and a travel ban after their statements.
FIRST STATEMENT FROM MANIFEST
After the developments, the group members released a statement on their social media accounts. The statement included the following remarks: "We gave our statement regarding the investigation opened about our 18+ concert held in Istanbul on September 6, and we are currently free. While we take full responsibility for the show we performed on stage, we want it to be known that our intention was not to disturb anyone or disregard their sensitivities. As a group established to unite people of all ages and worldviews around dance and music, we are the most saddened by the situation that has arisen."
CONCERTS CANCELED ONE AFTER ANOTHER
Following the events, the concerts where the Manifest group was to perform began to be canceled. It was observed that the concert scheduled for Saturday, September 20, at the Konya Selçuklu Congress Center was canceled, the event page was removed, and all posts related to the group were deleted. It was also learned that the concert planned for Tuesday, October 14, at the Trabzon Yomra Indoor Sports Hall was canceled.
