In the process of a terror-free Turkey, a critical threshold has been crossed with the PKK terrorists burning their weapons, and now attention is turned to the camps in Northern Iraq. The evacuation of 11 major camps, including Kandil on the Iran-Iraq border controlled by the organization, the Sinjar camp that opens to Syria, and the Mahmur camp located near Mosul, is expected.

The process of a Terror-Free Turkey, initiated by the call of MHP General Chairman Devlet Bahçeli, reached a critical threshold with the first group of the terrorist organization PKK burning their weapons.

THEY BURNED THEIR WEAPONS IN LARGE CAULDRONS

A group of 30 terrorists led by the terrorist organization leader Bese Hozat burned their weapons in large cauldrons in the area of Suleymaniye, following the call of terrorist leader Abdullah Öcalan.

THERE ARE 11 LARGE CAMPS

After the PKK terrorists burned their weapons, attention turned to the organization’s camps and their evacuation. The PKK, which was established 47 years ago in the Lice district of Diyarbakır and planned its attacks on Turkey from camps in Northern Iraq, controls 11 significant large camps in the region.

Among these camps, the most important one, which is close to our border and has been prohibited for civilians to enter for years due to security reasons by the administration in Northern Iraq, is the Zap Camp. It is known that the Zap Camp, located across from the Çukurca district of Hakkâri and visible to the naked eye, is one of the areas the organization values the most.

CAMPS ARE EXPECTED TO BE EVACUATED OVER TIME

According to a report in the Sabah newspaper; in addition to the Zap camp, where infiltration attempts against Turkey are taking place, the camps controlled by the organization, such as Sinat, Haftanin, Gara, Hakurk, Metina, Avaşin-Basyan, and Etruş, are also being used by the organization’s members. The fate of these camps, which include hospitals, a small dam that generates electricity, training areas, and caves where ammunition is hidden, is being closely watched. It is expected that these camps will be completely evacuated after the disarmament phase is completed in the process of a Terror-Free Turkey.

KANDIL, SINCAR, MAHMUR CAMPS…

In addition to Zap, there are three other significant PKK camps in Northern Iraq. The Kandil camp, located on the Iran-Iraq border where the organization’s top executives stay, the Sincar camp that opens to Syria, and the Mahmur Camp located near Mosul. Due to being relatively safer than the others, it is expected that these three camps, where PKK members stay most intensively, will also be closed over time, leaving control to the local administration. It is known that only 15,000 people remain in the Mahmur Camp, which is under the control of the PKK.
