A fraudster in Bursa, who initially presented himself as a mufti, then as a district governor, and later as a deputy governor, deceived dozens of people with promises of assistance for the disabled and students. The individual, who even organized a fake ceremony, was caught by the Bursa police during an operation conducted in Istanbul.

The teams of the Fraud Bureau of the Bursa Security Directorate took action after Y.A., who lives in the İznik district, was defrauded of 25,000 TL with the promise of being given an electric wheelchair. Investigations revealed that the suspect was I.B., who has numerous criminal records and is wanted for 10 different crimes.
It was learned that the suspect collected money by first introducing himself as a mufti, then as a district governor, and later as a deputy governor. In fact, the suspect even promised a fake ceremony in front of the district governor's office at the places he visited.
POLICE CONDUCTED AN OPERATION WITHOUT THE GOVERNOR
The suspect, who appointed himself as a fake deputy governor, was caught red-handed during an operation while sitting in a café in Istanbul. It was determined that I.B. had also defrauded 33 different professional chamber presidents and managers across Turkey using similar methods. It was found that there was approximately 1 million TL in money traffic in his account activities. A large number of fake receipts issued on behalf of fake associations where the suspect collected donations were also seized.
ARRESTED AND SENT TO PRISON
While it is stated that the number of fraud incidents may increase, a detailed investigation into the suspect's connections and money traffic is ongoing. I.B., who was detained, was arrested and sent to prison after the procedures at the İznik Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
