In the Alanya district of Antalya, a lawyer and gendarmerie who went to inspect vendors selling counterfeit products of famous clothing brands were subjected to a lynching attempt. Lawyer Alperen Erdoğan, who was severely beaten while caught among a group of 100 vendors, also received death threats. In the incident where a chair was broken over the gendarmerie's head, Erdoğan narrowly escaped with his life by running away and has filed a criminal complaint with the prosecutor's office.
During an inspection carried out by court order in Alanya, the tourism center of Antalya, incidents of violence against legal and security personnel occurred. Lawyer Alperen Erdoğan, who conducted inspections on businesses identified as selling counterfeit products of famous brands, was attacked during a major assault at the Alara Grand Bazaar in the Okurcular neighborhood, accompanied by the gendarmerie.

Lawyer Erdoğan went to a business named Ateş Butik in accordance with the search warrant issued by the Antalya 2nd Criminal Court of Peace. During the inspection, a crowd gathered outside, and after the procedures were completed, they attacked Erdoğan with insults and threats. The lynching attempt, which began with threats of "Kill him, he won't get out of here alive," resulted in the lawyer being assaulted by the crowd. Erdoğan was injured by blows to his head and chin and had to run away from the scene.

The gendarmerie teams also suffered from the attack. It was learned that the crowd attacked the gendarmerie with chairs and plastic mannequins, and two chairs were broken on one gendarme's head. The assailants also tried to block the gendarmerie vehicle. After the incident, Lawyer Alperen Erdoğan and the gendarmerie personnel who were attacked filed complaints against the attacking tradesmen.

Erdoğan, who filed a criminal complaint with the prosecutor's office, stated in a statement to Haberler.com that the attack was not only against him but also against the legal system and public authority. Noting that a crowd formed outside after he entered, Erdoğan said, "We went to the store named Ateş Butik with the gendarmerie to implement the search warrant of the Antalya 2nd Criminal Court of Peace. After I entered, a large crowd formed outside. During this time, I was subjected to severe insults from the crowd. When I came out after the procedure was completed, the tradesmen started to attack me among the gendarmes. During the attack, they also hurled threats like 'Kill him, he won't get out of here alive.' They started throwing hard objects at us while we were going to the gendarmerie vehicle," he said.

"One of these hard objects hit my head, and my vision went dark," Erdoğan said, "When I opened my eyes, they were attacking me and the gendarmerie with chairs and plastic mannequins. They broke two chairs on the gendarme's head. While escaping, I received four punches to my head and one to my chin. We were subjected to this kind of attack all the way to the vehicle. They even tried to block the gendarmerie vehicle. I barely escaped by running," he said.
It was learned that the authorities have launched an investigation into the incident, while the lynching attempt has also drawn significant reactions on social media.
