A 16.67% increase has been made for SGK and Bağ-Kur retirees. Retirees with a base salary below 14,469 TL will not receive an increase in July as it stands. Therefore, a legal regulation is planned to ensure that all low-salaried retirees can benefit from the increase. A statement has come from the ruling AK Party, which is under scrutiny.

AK Party Group Chairman Abdullar Güler announced that the lowest retirement salary, which was 14,469 TL, has been raised to 16,881 TL within the scope of the 16.67% inflation increase rate.
GENERAL ASSEMBLY COMING NEXT WEEK!
In his statement, Güler said, "Currently, we have raised the lowest retirement salary of 14,469 TL, which is currently applied under the first paragraph of the additional Article 19 of our Law No. 5510, to 16,881 TL, taking into account the 16.67% SSK and Bağkur CPI increase rate according to TÜİK data. With this proposal amendment, we hope this will be realized in our Plan and Budget Commission. Next week, along with the General Assembly activities, this figure will become law. The lowest retirement salary of 14,469 TL has been raised to 16,881 TL within the scope of the 16.67% inflation increase rate, taking into account the SSK-Bağkur CPI increase rate. As of January 2025, the lowest retirement salary raised to 14,469 TL will concern approximately 3 million 716 thousand of our retirees, which is around 16 million 500 thousand retirees at that time.
HOW MANY PEOPLE WILL BE AFFECTED?
With this increase we are about to implement, this number will rise to 4 million 11 thousand people starting from July 2025. We will have supported approximately 300 thousand of our retirees within this system, again to be covered by the Treasury, with the lowest salary." he said.
