CHP member İnan Akgün Alp reacted to the words of his party colleague Ümit Dikbayır, who stated, "There is no Kurdish people. There are citizens of Kurdish origin." Emphasizing that the CHP embraces all communities, Alp said, "Let everyone, both friends and foes, know that the denial and negation of the existence of Kurds has long been a thing of the past. Of course, Kurds exist. They have been subjects in both the Middle East and Turkey since Selahattin Eyyubi."

CHP Kars Deputy İnan Akgün Alp responded from the podium of the Turkish Grand National Assembly to the words of CHP Sakarya Deputy Ümit Dikbayır, who said, "There is no Kurdish people. There are citizens of Kurdish origin." Alp emphasized that the CHP has an understanding that embraces all peoples, stating, "Let everyone, friend and foe alike, know that the denial of the existence of Kurds has long been a thing of the past. Of course, Kurds exist," he said.

"CHP EMBRACES ALL PEOPLES"

In his speech at the podium, İnan Akgün Alp used the following expressions:

"Last week, one of our deputies made some statements that could be interpreted as the denial of the Kurdish people. And let’s admit that this statement has rekindled some old concerns in the region. I express to all the people of the region who have been hurt and offended by this statement, and to those who have voted for the Republican People's Party in the presidential elections, local elections, and parliamentary elections, and who have been requesting me to make a statement as a regional deputy for days, that the Republican People's Party is committed to embracing all the peoples living in our country with the founding will of the Republic and in the 2nd Century of the Republic.

"THE DENIAL OF THE EXISTENCE OF KURDS HAS LONG BEEN A THING OF THE PAST"

All leftists, revolutionaries, democrats, and patriots in our country follow the path of revolutionaries who, even while going to the gallows, shouted "Long live the brotherhood of the Turkish and Kurdish peoples" while kicking their own execution platform. Let this be known by everyone.

Let everyone, friend and foe alike, know that the denial of the existence of Kurds has long been a thing of the past. Of course, Kurds exist, and without a doubt, they have been subjects in both the Middle East and Turkey since the great commander Saladin, who defeated the Crusader armies with his sword and reconquered Jerusalem. My request from our people in the face of these statements is this; please do not base your actions on denial-based racist provocations that aim to disrupt political consensus and social reconciliation. Always and everywhere, prioritize the law of brotherhood."

WHAT DID ÜMİT DİKBAYIR SAY?

Sakarya Deputy Ümit Dikbayır, who was expelled from the İYİ Party and joined the CHP, used the following expressions in his social media post titled "The real issue...":

"Is this really the issue of the Kurds?

We must conduct this discussion from the right perspective.

Let’s start by correcting the language.

There is no separate political subject called "Kurdish people" in Turkey.

There are citizens of Kurdish origin in Turkey.

Just as there are:

Georgian origin,

Laz origin,

Chechen origin,

Albanian origin,

Bosnian origin citizens,

Citizens of Kurdish origin are also an inseparable part of this nation.

These expressions are not random.

The concepts of "people" and "nation" carry connotations of political sovereignty.

Therefore, they are used consciously and imposed deliberately.

What is the real demand of citizens of Kurdish origin?

We must clearly ask this question:

Do our citizens of Kurdish origin have a widespread social demand for:

A separate state,

A separate flag,

A separate army,

A separate homeland,

The disintegration of the unitary structure?

The answer is clear: No.

The overwhelming majority of citizens of Kurdish origin living in this country:

Consider this homeland their own homeland,

Consider the flag their own flag,

Consider the state their own state.

The problem is not here.

The real issue is the imperialist calculations established over the Kurds.

The picture presented to us today as the "Kurdish issue" is not a picture that has emerged from the will of the Kurds.

Let’s state a more striking truth:

The founders of the PKK are not Kurds.

This is not a coincidence.

This is a product of an imperialist mind that seeks to settle regional scores, not for the freedom of the Kurds.

For this reason:

PKK is not the organization of the Kurds.

PKK is not the will of the Kurds.

PKK does not represent the Kurds.

The greatest harm is suffered by the Kurds.

It is necessary to underline a truth with a thick line:

The ones who should want to get rid of the PKK the most should be the Kurds.

Because it is our citizens of Kurdish origin who suffer the most from the PKK.

Citizens of Kurdish origin:

Have endured the suffering of a terrorist organization that kidnaps their children,

Drives their youth to death,

Turns their cities into battlefields,

Steals their bread, peace, and future.

Who would want:

To be represented by a baby killer? To accept a bloody murderer as a "representative"?

This is the greatest insult that can be done to citizens of Kurdish origin.

The picture imposed today by the government says this:

"Oh Kurds, you will be represented by a terrorist who kills babies, massacres civilians, and ambushes soldiers."

Can there be anything heavier and more humiliating than this?

Presenting the PKK as the "representative of the Kurds":

Is an injustice to citizens of Kurdish origin,

Is an usurpation of the will of citizens of Kurdish origin,

Is condemning citizens of Kurdish origin to a terrorist organization.

Apo is only and only the representative of the terrorist organization he founded.

He does not represent anyone else.

No solution will come from this path.

By considering terrorist organizations as interlocutors:

No solution will come,

No future will come,

No peace will come.

The only thing that will come out of this is:

To implement the scenario drawn by the imperialists in the way they want and to end it in the way they want.

Those who are used for this:

Will account not only for today, not for tomorrow, but for history.

As a final word;

This issue is not a Kurdish issue.

This issue is:

A project that instrumentalizes citizens of Kurdish origin,

That puts citizens of Kurdish origin forward and makes them pay the price,

Targeting the region and Turkey.

Citizens of Kurdish origin are not the subjects of this project, but the greatest victims.

The state becomes strong not by bargaining with terrorism, but by protecting all the people under the unitary structure.

And from this path:

No peace will come,

No solution will come,

But an ACCOUNT will definitely come."
