The accident occurred on January 12 on Fatih Street in Yeni Mahalle. Songül Baş, who was trying to cross the road at the pedestrian crossing, was hit by a car with the license plate 34 PGE 784, driven by E.A.
DRIVER TOOK THE INJURED PERSON TO THE HOSPITAL IN HIS VEHICLE
As a result of the impact, Baş was severely injured and was taken by the driver E.A. to a nearby polyclinic and then to Gebze Fatih State Hospital. During the examinations, numerous fractures were detected in Songül Baş's body, and she was intubated in the intensive care unit.
DRIVER RELEASED UNDER JUDICIAL CONTROL
After the accident, the driver E.A. was taken into custody and referred to the courthouse. The suspect was released under judicial control by the court. Meanwhile, the moment of the accident was captured by the security camera of a nearby business.

Songül Baş passed away in the morning hours at Gebze Fatih State Hospital, where she was receiving treatment. The young woman's funeral was held after the noon prayer at the Küme Evler Mosque in Çayırova district and she was laid to rest at Akse Cemetery amid tears.
