The Disinformation Combat Center announced that the claims regarding the implementation of an additional written exam or interview for high school entrance alongside the LGS for project schools are not true.
The Communication Presidency's Disinformation Combat Center (DMM) announced that the claim "In addition to the LGS, a written exam or interview will be applied for admission to all high schools with project school status" is not true.
Recently, a statement came from the Communication Presidency's Disinformation Combat Center (DMM) regarding the claims circulating on social media and some news sites that "An interview or written exam will be conducted for admission to project schools in the 1% percentile."
"THE CLAIM IS NOT TRUE"
In a statement made from DMM's social media account, it was stated, "The claim that 'In addition to the LGS, a written exam or interview will be applied for admission to all high schools with project school status' is not true. Article 8 of the Regulation on Project Schools, titled 'Student Selection for Schools Implementing Special Programs and Related Transactions with Students,' is not a general regulation covering all project schools, but is only applicable to schools explicitly defined by the legislation that implement special programs."
"IT IS MISLEADING TO THE PUBLIC"
The statement also noted, "The schools that can be evaluated within this scope in Turkey are limited to TÜBİTAK Science High School and BAYKAR Science High School. In these schools, in addition to the success criteria sought in the central exam, it is also required to meet other exam criteria related to the program implemented by the school. Therefore, the claims that a supplementary exam or interview will be conducted for all project schools are incorrect and misleading to the public. It is requested that only statements made by authorized official authorities be taken into consideration."
