MOTHER AND 2 CHILDREN TRAPPED UNDER THE COLLAPSE
On Sunday around 21:00, the roof of the house, where the 4-member Kara family and 2 guests were present, collapsed. Three of those trapped managed to escape on their own. The mother, Dilara Kara, and her children, Kerimhan (6) and Sudenaz (11), were rescued from the rubble by the efforts of the gendarmerie who arrived at the scene. The mother and her children were taken to Pasinler State Hospital, and after their initial treatment, they were transferred to Erzurum City and Atatürk University Research Hospital. However, despite the intervention, the mother and her children could not be saved.
SCHOOL DESKS BECAME A MOURNING PLACE
A funeral prayer was held for the mother and her children in the rural Porsuk neighborhood. The funeral, held in the village square, was attended by Pasinler District Governor Yunus Emre Temel, Pasinler Mayor Ünsal Sertoğlu, AFAD Provincial Director Selahattin Karslı, Provincial Director of Family and Social Services Hasan Aykut, relatives of the Kara family, and citizens. The coffins of the mother and children, taken out of the funeral vehicle, were placed on school desks. After obtaining permission for the burial, the funeral prayer was performed, and Dilara Kara, along with her children Kerimhan (6) and Sudenaz (11), were laid to rest in the neighborhood cemetery amid prayers and tears.
