According to intelligence reports from MIT, Serkan Çiçek, whose real name is Muhammet Fatih Keleş, changed his name and established a company called "Pandora Detective Agency" in 2020 due to his debts. It was later determined that Çiçek, operating through this company, had contacted the Israeli secret service Mossad to engage in espionage activities.
The National Intelligence Organization (MIT), in coordination with the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office and the Istanbul Police Department's Counter-Terrorism Branch, conducted a joint operation in which two individuals identified as working for the Israeli secret service Mossad were detained. As a result of the investigation, Serkan Çiçek and lawyer Tuğrulhan Dip were referred to the peace criminal court with a request for arrest on the charge of "obtaining information that must be kept secret by the state for political or military espionage purposes."
FROM DEBT TO SPYING
As a result of the intelligence work carried out by MIT, it was determined that Serkan Çiçek, whose real name is Muhammet Fatih Keleş, changed his name due to debts and started operating a company called "Pandora Detective Agency" since 2020. Investigations revealed that Çiçek had established contact with a Mossad agent codenamed "Faysal Rasheed," who was working at Israel's online operations center. It was learned that Rasheed contacted Çiçek via WhatsApp on July 31, introducing himself as a staff member of a law office operating abroad.
4-DAY SURVEILLANCE AND A PAYMENT OF 4,000 DOLLARS
It was determined that Rasheed asked Çiçek to follow a Palestinian activist opposing Israel's Middle East policies and paid him 4,000 dollars in cryptocurrency for this task. Çiçek was found to have conducted reconnaissance at a site in Başakşehir, Istanbul, on August 1-2, in accordance with the instructions, which was also captured by security cameras.
ESPIONAGE CHAIN: CONNECTION BETWEEN LAWYER DIP AND MUSA KUŞ
According to the investigation file, Serkan Çiçek worked with Musa Kuş, who was sentenced to 19 years in prison for leaking information to Israel, and lawyer Tuğrulhan Dip. It was alleged that Dip illegally accessed personal data in public records and sold this information to Mossad through detectives, obtaining financial benefits in return. Additionally, preliminary examinations of Dip's digital materials suggested that new espionage evidence could be uncovered, and both suspects were referred to the court with a request for arrest under the scope of "military and political espionage."
BACKGROUND OF THE OPERATION
According to MIT's findings, Mossad agent Faysal Rasheed was working with local contacts who leaked information for money about targets in Turkey. It was determined that Serkan Çiçek played an active role in Mossad's field operations within the scope of these activities, sending images and reports to Rasheed in exchange for cryptocurrency.
