Yeter Gültekin, the wife of folk music artist Hasret Gültekin who lost his life in the Sivas Massacre on July 2, 1993, passed away in Germany.
Yeter Gültekin had been receiving treatment for cancer for some time. Her family, who migrated from Turkey to Germany in the 1980s, was living in Germany. Following the death of Yeter Gültekin, condolences came from political figures.
Yeter Gültekin had actively sought justice in the cases conducted after the Madımak Hotel massacre in Sivas. It was learned that Yeter Gültekin's funeral would be held in Cologne.

Yeter Gültekin sought justice for 33 years after losing her husband Hasret Gültekin on July 2, 1993, in Madımak. Even when the perpetrators were released through decrees issued at midnight, she never gave up that struggle. May her journey be eternal, and may the stars be her companions. I wish patience and condolences to her entire family, especially her son," he expressed.
