THE DOG DISPUTE ESCALATED INTO A FIGHT
The incident occurred on September 16 at around 10:30 AM. According to the allegations, a person named O.G., who lives on Ülküm Street in Yeşiltepe Neighborhood, was reported by his neighbors due to his dogs constantly barking. Angered by this situation, the man started a dispute with an elderly man named R.D. (68), who was walking towards Yavuz Mosque to pray and passing through his street.
SUSPECTING THE ELDERLY MAN, HE ATTACKED WITH KICKS AND PUNCHES
The man, stating that he was not the one who complained about the dogs, walked towards Şehit Halit İlbay Street. The owner of the dogs invited the elderly man he was following to a nearby park. The elderly man, who was trying to leave the area by stating that he was going to the mosque, was attacked by O.G. as he turned his back.

In the footage recorded moment by moment by security cameras, it was seen that the man ran and punched, the elderly man fell to the ground, and he was kicked multiple times. After the incident, moments of the man throwing bread to the dogs below while dangling his feet from his balcony were also captured by another citizen's mobile phone camera. In the footage, the man was seen looking at the dogs and saying, "Well done to you. What a beautiful life this is." It was also claimed that the man said, "The weather is very nice today, bark."
HE FILED A COMPLAINT
The assault victim R.D. was taken to Yunus Emre State Hospital by ambulance by the 112 Emergency Service teams dispatched to the area after the incident. It was determined that the elderly man had fractures in various parts of his face and cheekbone due to the blows he received, and he was referred to Eskişehir Osmangazi University (ESOGÜ) Faculty of Medicine for treatment. The man, who underwent surgery the day before and is expected to have a plate placed under his eye in the coming days, filed a complaint against O.G., the owner of the dogs.
