A suspect who demanded extortion from a businessman in Küçükçekmece, sent threatening messages, and shot at his vehicle was caught on camera. During the investigation, it was determined that the suspect, initially believed to be male and wearing a tracksuit, changed clothes and appeared in a mini skirt, revealing that she was actually a woman. It was learned that the detained suspect did not confess to the crime and that there were some messages on her mobile phone indicating she was the shooter.
On April 27, in the Kanarya neighborhood of the Küçükçekmece district of Istanbul, a car belonging to businessman H.S. was shot at by an unidentified person. In the investigation initiated by the police, it was determined that before the attack, the businessman received a message from an international number on his phone, threatening him by saying, "Your father has a tax debt to us" and demanding extortion.
SUSPECT MALE IN TRACKSUIT WAS IDENTIFIED
During their investigations, the Robbery Bureau and the Küçükçekmece District Police Department teams accessed security camera footage of a person trying to escape on foot after the incident. The suspect, believed to be male and wearing a tracksuit and jacket, was tracked through the camera footage. The suspect, who fled down the streets, entered the entrance area of an apartment building where the cameras could not see and disappeared.
IT WAS UNDERSTOOD SHE WAS A WOMAN WHEN SHE WORE A MINI SKIRT
Shortly after, it was determined that the suspect who exited the building was a woman and had changed her clothes to wear a mini skirt. Upon examination, it was found that the shoes of the woman who changed her clothes were the same. The suspect, who got into a red car on the street, disappeared.
THE PIRATE TAXI BETRAYED THE SUSPECT
The Robbery Bureau teams identified that the car the suspect got into was a pirate taxi. The driver of the pirate taxi informed the police about the location where he dropped off the suspect woman. After conducting technical and physical surveillance in this area, the police identified the suspect's identity. The suspect, E.T., was detained by the police and brought to the Public Order Branch Directorate.
MESSAGES FOUND: "DID YOU BECOME A SHOOTER TOO?"
It was learned that the suspect, who was interrogated at the Robbery Bureau, did not accept the accusations. However, it was reported that some messages indicating she was the shooter were found on the suspect's mobile phone. It was learned that the messages sent by the person the suspect was talking to included phrases like "Did you become a shooter too?"
ARRESTED
The suspect, whose procedures were completed at the police station, was arrested by the court and sent to prison.
