The fact that our chance of winning the championship has been left to miracles has led to justified reactions and criticisms. We are leaving behind a process in which we did not reach our desired goal. The responsibility lies with us. However, it should not be forgotten that having only one championship in 14 years since our 2010/11 championship is an indication that the problem is not limited to names and management.
"I HAD MENTIONED THE RISKS OF THE ELECTION"
We understand and accept the justified reactions and criticisms of our community as someone from the stands, and we share similar feelings and thoughts. I stated that the initiated signature process does not suit the history and culture of our club as a method, that it is a democratic right that we respect, and that we will go to the general assembly if the necessary signatures are collected, while indicating the risks of holding an election during this period in line with the interests of our community.
"NO SIGNATURE COLLECTION IN 118 YEARS OF HISTORY!"
I want to share our views on issues that are important for the future of our Fenerbahçe. We are on the same page regarding the fact that the election to be held in the summer is not in line with the interests of our community. However, our previous views regarding the signature process still stand. In the 118-year honorable history of our community, there has never been an attempt to collect signatures to take us to an extraordinary general assembly.
Throughout its history, our community has acted with common sense, sound judgment, and traditions. We also know that among those who signed, there are members who are passionately attached to Fenerbahçe and believe that this is the right way. I want you to know that there are those who disregard our values and manipulate our community for their own interests.

If a sufficient number of signatures are collected, our timeline to go to the extraordinary general assembly is at least 7-8 weeks. We all need to come together at a common point. The decision we will make today is not just a date. It is a strategic decision that will shape the fate of our club for the next year. It coincides with the exact beginning of the new season. All the seeds of the dynamics that determine success are being sown in this process. We will hold the extraordinary general assembly in September in line with the interests of our club. The extraordinary general assembly will be held together with the financial general assembly.
WHY IS THE ELECTION IN SEPTEMBER?
I want to share the important points of our decision to set September while considering the interests of our club. The next 3 months are the most critical period. There is a risk of disrupting the steps we have long planned and reached the final point for financial independence. Critical decisions are on the table for the financial independence of our club. We have doubled our revenues in Euro terms. One of the key pillars of this success has been sponsorships. Negotiations with major brands are ongoing. We are in the phase of creating economic value from real estate. In summary; our decision to hold the extraordinary general assembly in September together with the financial general assembly is not stubbornness but responsibility. The economic difficulties and material and moral sacrifices we have shouldered for years have brought us to a critical threshold. When we are so close to reaching our goal, risking our efforts is neither rational nor consistent with a sense of responsibility."
