One of the iconic moments of the 2013 peace process, the song "Megri Megri" has been translated into Turkish by İbrahim Tatlıses to support the "Terror-Free Turkey" initiative years later. The song will be released on all digital platforms starting today.
The Turkish arabesque and folk music artist İbrahim Tatlıses's rearrangement of the song "Megri Megri" with Turkish lyrics will be released on all digital platforms starting tomorrow.
ERDOĞAN'S HISTORICAL WORDS ARE ALSO INCLUDED
In a statement from Poll Production, it was noted that Tatlıses once again expressed his belief in and support for peace through art, stating, "The artist wrote Turkish lyrics for the song 'Megri Megri,' which he performed with Şivan Perver during the Diyarbakır meeting that took place during the resolution process, in reference to the peace process. The clip, specially prepared for the work that has become an artistic representation of the peace process, also features the words from President Erdoğan's historic speech that initiated the peace process: 'A new page has been opened in history. The 41-year-long terror plague has entered a phase of cessation.'
The statement also mentioned that the song "Megri Megri," which has anonymous lyrics and music, rearranged by İbrahim Tatlıses with Turkish lyrics, will be released on all digital platforms and the Poll Production YouTube channel starting tomorrow.
