The perpetrator decapitated the Indian man and then rolled his head on the asphalt before throwing it in the trash.
The United States has been shaken by a series of horrific events in recent days. The murder of Ukrainian immigrant Iryna Zarutska, who sought refuge in the country fleeing the Russia-Ukraine war, and the subsequent assassination of political activist Charlie Kirk have stirred the nation. Following all these developments, another chilling incident occurred in Dallas.
WASHING MACHINE DISPUTE ENDED IN BRUTALITY
A dispute broke out on Wednesday between 37-year-old Yordanis Cobos-Martinez, who worked as a cleaning staff at a motel called Downtown Suites in Dallas, and his 50-year-old coworker Chandra Nagamallaiah.
According to witness statements, Nagamallaiah wanted to tell Cobos-Martinez that he should not use the washing machine because it was broken. However, when the message was attempted to be conveyed through another employee, Cobos-Martinez became enraged.
HE CUT OFF HER HEAD WITH A MACHETE AND THREW IT IN THE TRASH
According to security camera footage, Cobos-Martinez left the room and returned with a machete in hand. The attacker stabbed his coworker multiple times and chased after Nagamallaiah as she tried to escape, continuing the assault despite the attempts of her husband and son to intervene.
According to police records, the attacker severed the woman's head. He then rolled Chandra's head on the asphalt and threw it in the trash.
CAUGHT AT THE SCENE
Emergency and fire crews arriving at the scene saw the attacker fleeing with a machete in hand. The police quickly apprehended the suspect. He was found in possession of the victim's ID badge, key card, and cell phone.
During questioning at the Dallas Police Department, Cobos-Martinez confessed to his crime.
HEAVY CRIMINAL RECORD
Court records revealed the suspect's history of violence. Cobos-Martinez, who was convicted of aggravated assault in 2018, had served one year in Harris County Jail near Houston.
In 2023, it was determined that there was an arrest warrant against him for carjacking, false imprisonment, and failure to appear in court in the state of California.
Authorities also stated that the suspect was being held due to immigration violations.
