A family tragedy occurred in a house located in the Cumhuriyet neighborhood of the Havsa district in Edirne. According to allegations, O.Ç., who is said to have psychological problems, showed his family the cyanide package he had after dinner, claiming he had added it to their food. Upon hearing this, family members panicked and rushed to the bathroom and toilet to vomit.
LOCKED THE DOORS, ATTACKED WITH AN AXE, SET THE HOUSE ON FIRE
O.Ç. then locked the doors and attacked his family. He first sprayed pepper spray in the face of his brother K.Ç., who was in the bathroom, and then stabbed him. He also attacked his mother Ş.Ç. with an axe, seriously injuring her. O.Ç. also set the house on fire.
POURED HOT OIL ON HIS SON'S FACE
The father, S.Ç., who tried to stop the incident, broke down the door and poured hot oil on his son's face to incapacitate him. The father was also injured in his hand while breaking the door. In this horrific incident, all family members, including the mother, father, and two siblings, were injured. Upon notification, police and fire crews were dispatched to the scene. The fire department extinguished the fire in the house before it could spread.
THE WHOLE FAMILY WAS TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL
While the injured were taken to the hospital, the seriously injured mother Ş.Ç. was transferred to a hospital in Istanbul. Additionally, family members were placed under observation due to the possibility of cyanide poisoning. A comprehensive investigation has been initiated regarding the incident.
