Çanakkale Governor Ömer Toraman stated that teams are continuing to intervene intensively from the air and land to extinguish the fire. Toraman said: "There was an evacuation in the Kule area on the radar road. We are evacuating the private elderly care center in Sarıcaeli village. We are preparing for precautionary measures for Kalabaklı village according to the direction of the fire, but there is currently no evacuation. The fire did not threaten the city center; it progressed from the upper side of the hospital. A certain amount of flames has spread to the garden of a site, but at the moment there is no situation threatening the city center. The teams' struggle is continuing intensively."

3 VILLAGES EVACUATED



In a statement made by the Çanakkale Governorship, it was stated, "Due to the fire that started in the rural area of Bayramiç Yiğitler village; Saçaklı Village, Ahmetçeli Village, and Doğanca Village have been evacuated as a precaution. Efforts to intervene in the fire from the air and land are ongoing."

ÇOMÜ TERZİOĞLU CAMPUS EVACUATED AS A PRECAUTION



Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University (ÇOMÜ) Rector Prof. Dr. Cüneyt Erenoğlu stated that they have evacuated the Terzioğlu Campus as a precaution. Erenoğlu reported that there is currently no situation threatening the buildings, saying, "There is no burning building or structure within our university borders. However, the fire is unfortunately very large. The teams are currently taking all precautions. We hope that the wind does not blow in the opposite direction. All our teams are on duty. I hope the fire will be brought under control in a short time."
