Journalist-writer Nihat Genç passed away the day before yesterday at Gazi University Faculty of Medicine Hospital, where he was receiving treatment. A funeral ceremony was held for Nihat Genç at Kocatepe Mosque in Ankara.
FAREWELL TO NİHAT GENÇ
During the ceremony, condolences were accepted by his son Can Laçin Genç, his wife Nuriye Genç, and Veryansın TV General Manager Erdem Atay. The ceremony was attended by AK Party Deputy Chairman Hüseyin Yayman, Ankara Metropolitan Mayor Mansur Yavaş, former Turkey Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Bilgin, Gölbaşı Mayor Yakup Odabaşı, singer Ali Tufan Kıraç, Çelik Erişçi, many friends from the literary profession, numerous figures from the arts and politics, as well as his family and loved ones.
After the ceremony, a funeral prayer was held for Genç following the afternoon prayer. Genç's body was laid to rest at Gölbaşı Cemetery after the funeral prayer.
