Turkey is under the influence of desert heat. While air temperatures are expected to reach 40 degrees even in the shade, Fevzi Burak Tekin, a meteorology expert from the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, announced the weather forecasts for the new week. According to the latest predictions, Tekin stated that hot weather will be effective in the new week and that no precipitation is expected in most parts of the country.
TEMPERATURES WILL INCREASE BY 4-6 DEGREES
Tekin reported that air temperatures across the country will be 4 to 6 degrees above seasonal norms, stating that rainy areas will only be in the northeastern regions.
PROVINCES EXPECTING RAIN
Tekin mentioned that rain is expected tomorrow in Trabzon, the inner parts of Rize, Artvin, Ardahan, and Kars, saying, "Heavy rain will be effective on Tuesday in Giresun, Trabzon, the inner parts of Rize, Artvin, Ardahan, Kars, and Erzurum. On Wednesday, the rainy system will be seen along the line from Ardahan to Van. On Thursday and Friday, we will see localized rainfall in the northeastern parts of our country."
DO NOT GO OUT AT THESE HOURS
Tekin emphasized that in the inner, western, and southern parts of the country, air temperatures will occasionally exceed 40 degrees, warning that it is advisable not to go outside unless necessary during the hours when the sun's rays are most direct, from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
HOW WILL THE WEATHER BE IN 3 MAJOR CITIES?
Tekin reported that there is no expectation of rain for 3 days in Ankara, Istanbul, and Izmir, stating that the weather will be partly cloudy and clear in these 3 major cities. He expressed that the air temperature in the capital will be between 34 and 36 degrees for 3 days, adding, "In Ankara, temperatures will reach 37-38 degrees on Thursday and Friday. The temperature will be 33-35 in Istanbul and 36-38, eventually reaching 40 degrees in Izmir."
Tekin also warned against forest fires, emphasizing that areas with strong winds, high temperatures, and low humidity pose a fire risk, and therefore, more caution is needed.
