In Karabük, a city where 72% of the area is covered by forests, the number of evacuated villages due to the forest fire that has been affecting the region for 5 days has risen to 19, while the number of evacuated neighborhoods has increased to 57. "The forest fires that started on July 23 in Safranbolu Çavuşlar and Ovacık Kışla are being intervened with 363 vehicles and 1386 personnel, 21 helicopters, and 2 planes. 19 villages and 928 households have been evacuated as a precaution for safety reasons. 1,839 citizens have been taken to safe areas. 58 structures have been affected by the fire, and damage assessment studies are ongoing."
