A lock of hair reportedly belonging to King Charles III of England has been presented to collectors at an auction house. This unusual piece, which has historical significance, has drawn public attention due to its auction price, causing astonishment.

THE ROYAL BARBER KEPT IT

According to information obtained, the hair was cut when King Charles was still in school and was preserved by the royal family's barber, George Crisp, for a long time. The lock of hair, which has passed through various collections over the years, is now being offered for sale at a price of 7,000 euros (approximately 342,000 TL).

Collection circles consider it "extremely rare" for such a piece belonging to a living British monarch to be featured in an auction. In a statement reported by the spokesperson, it was noted, "No similar lock of hair has been sold during the reign of Queen Elizabeth II. This is the first time a lock of hair belonging to a living British monarch is being offered for sale."

WHO WILL BE THE NEW OWNER OF THE HAIR?

The hair in question comes from the collection of Emma A. Pinkerton (1879–1955), the owner of the Detroit–Mackinaw Railroad. It was also stated that there is a handwritten will indicating that Pinkerton bequeathed the lock of hair to her son Charles.

The auction is ongoing, and it has been noted that the new owner of the piece will be revealed in the coming days.
