ORC Research announced the results of its political trend survey conducted in Istanbul, Ankara, and Izmir between September 5-9, 2025. In the study, participants were asked, "If there were a general election this Sunday, which party would you vote for?" The survey, conducted with 2,310 people in Istanbul, 1,950 in Ankara, and 1,870 in Izmir, revealed voter preferences in the three major cities.
BALANCED PICTURE IN ISTANBUL
The competition is quite close in Istanbul, which has the largest voter base in Turkey. The CHP is the leading party with 32.4%, while the AK Party follows in second place with 30.2%. The DEM Party reached 7.1%, the MHP 5.4%, the İYİ Party 4.7%, and the Victory Party 4.2%. Voter preferences in Istanbul are almost equally distributed between the CHP and the AK Party.
TIGHT RACE IN ANKARA
The picture also appeared balanced in the capital, Ankara. The CHP ranks first with 33.2%, while the AK Party is in second place with 30.5%. The MHP received 8.2%, the İYİ Party 6.0%, the Victory Party 4.5%, and the DEM Party received 2.9% of the votes.
CHP CAME FIRST IN IZMIR
In Izmir, the CHP came out ahead by a wide margin. According to the results, the CHP's vote rate was measured at 42.5%. The AK Party ranked second with 22.0%. They were followed by the İYİ Party with 7.5%, the DEM Party with 7.3%, and the MHP with 4.4%. Other parties remained below 3%.
