Justice Minister Yılmaz Tunç, commemorating police officer Fethi Sekin, who was martyred while preventing the attack by the terrorist organization PKK on the İzmir Courthouse on January 5, 2017, stated, "We will carry our country, which is entrusted to us by all our martyrs who gave their lives for our homeland and flag, into the future with confident steps."
Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç commemorated police officer Fethi Sekin, who was martyred while preventing the terrorist organization PKK's attack on the İzmir Courthouse on January 5, 2017.
Minister Tunç, in a post on his social media account, recalled that Sekin heroically prevented the treacherous terrorist attack targeting the İzmir Courthouse nine years ago, and that court clerk Musa Can was also martyred in the attack.
"WE WILL PASS ON THEIR HEROIC DEEDS TO FUTURE GENERATIONS"
Stating that they will never forget Sekin and Can, who saved hundreds of lives by shielding their bodies, Tunç noted: "We will always cherish their sacred memories and pass on the heroism they displayed to future generations. We will carry our country, which is entrusted to us by all our martyrs who gave their lives for our homeland and flag, into the future with confident steps. By further strengthening our unity and solidarity, we will definitely reach our ideal of a 'Terror-Free Turkey'; together, we will carry our country, our nation, our children, and our youth to a peaceful future free from terrorism."
