In the incident where 24-year-old Mehmet Ayaz was stabbed to death in Adana, his 17-year-old girlfriend N.C. has been arrested. In her statement, the young girl said, "I didn't do it, he stabbed himself."
In the Şambayadı neighborhood of the Çukurova district in Adana, it is claimed that; Mehmet Ayaz (24) went to the lakeside with his girlfriend N.C. (17). During this time, when N.C. told Ayaz that she wanted to break up, a dispute broke out between the two.
TEXTED HER FRIEND "HE IS HITTING ME"
As the argument escalated, N.C. alleged that Ayaz assaulted her and texted her friend, "Save me, call the police. Mehmet is hitting me." Upon N.C.'s call for help, her friends arrived at the scene and found the couple lying stabbed in the chest.
HIS GIRLFRIEND LOST HER LIFE
Health teams who arrived at the scene upon the notification determined that Ayaz had lost his life. N.C., who was found injured, was taken to the hospital by ambulance. The knife used in the incident was found near the place where Ayaz was lying. Ayaz's body was taken by his relatives after the autopsy and buried in Kabasakal Cemetery.
IN HER STATEMENT, SHE SAID "HE STABBED HIMSELF"
After approximately 10 days of treatment, the young girl, who was discharged, reportedly told the police in her first statement, "During the day, I met with Mehmet, and after hanging out, we were chatting in the car. When I said I wanted to break up, he said he wouldn't let me go. When the argument escalated, he stabbed me. When I came to, I saw that he was also stabbed." N.C., whose treatment was completed, was discharged the day before yesterday and taken to the prosecutor's office. Here, N.C. reportedly repeated her previous statement, saying, "I didn't do it, he stabbed himself."
THE YOUNG GIRL WAS ARRESTED
The prosecutor's office conducting the investigation referred N.C. to the court on the charge of "intentional murder" based on the existing evidence. The young girl, who was arrested by the duty court, was sent to prison. It was reported that the evidence found at the scene was taken for examination at the Adana Criminal Police Laboratory, and the detailed autopsy report from the Adana Forensic Medicine Institution was awaited.
