After the management change at Sözcü TV, it was claimed that Sedat Peker is a secret partner of the channel. Peker's lawyer, Ersan Barkın, denied the allegation that has become a topic of discussion.
The dismissal of 14 journalists, including the editor-in-chief, from Sözcü TV has caused a significant stir, and yesterday, experienced journalist Uğur Dündar announced that he had left the Sözcü group. Following all these developments, lawyer Ersan Barkın provided a statement regarding the claims circulating in media circles about a "Sedat Peker connection."
"THE SOLE OWNER OF SÖZCÜ IS BURAK AKBAY"
Journalist Timur Soykan included Barkın's words in his broadcast on Onlar TV. According to Soykan, Barkın firmly denied the allegations, stating, "The claim is so baseless and far from reality that it is strange to even make a statement. The sole owner of Sözcü is Burak Akbay; there are no other stakeholders."
"NO CONNECTION TO PEKER, I HAVE BEEN A LAWYER FOR 2 MONTHS"
Barkin also clarified rumors that he had recently taken on the role of lawyer for the Sözcü TV management, stating that he has only been in this position for two months. Barkin emphasized, "This situation has nothing to do with Sedat Peker," clearly putting an end to the debate.

Barkin also noted that Sedat Peker supports Yılmaz Özdil taking over Sözcü TV.
