Fikret Ömer Akıncı (12), a 7th-grade student in Sarıyer, fell from the balcony of his apartment on the 30th floor of the building in the site where he lived and lost his life. The child's body was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institution Morgue after examinations. It was learned that mother Elif Akıncı (45) stated in her testimony that her child was hanging from the balcony of the kitchen part of the house and fell. The prosecutor's office launched an investigation into the incident, which it classified as a 'Suspicious death'.

The incident occurred on Sunday, February 1, around 11:00 PM in a site located in Ayazağa Neighborhood. According to the information obtained, 7th-grade student Fikret Ömer Akıncı went out to the balcony of his apartment on the 30th floor of the building in the site where he lived in the evening hours. After a while, Akıncı fell from the balcony. Citizens nearby who saw Akıncı fall reported to the health teams. The health teams determined that Fikret Ömer Akıncı had died at the scene.

After the incident, police teams began working. In her statement to the police, mother Elif Akıncı, who was at home during the incident, said that her child was hanging from the balcony of the kitchen part of the house and fell, and that he had no illness. After the examinations by the public prosecutor and the crime scene investigation teams, Fikret Ömer Akıncı's lifeless body was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institution Morgue by a funeral vehicle.
