Iran requested a change in the location and format of the critical nuclear negotiations planned to take place in Istanbul with the US on Friday, just days before the meeting. Iran's request to hold the meeting in Oman was accepted by the US administration. President Trump stated that negotiations with Iran are ongoing, saying, "They want to do something; let's see if we can achieve a concrete result. We are currently in active discussions with them."
Reports have emerged in the American press that White House Special Representative Steve Witkoff and Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi may meet in Istanbul on Friday.

After signing the budget package that includes two weeks of temporary funding in the Oval Office, US President Donald Trump made statements regarding the agenda. In response to a question about the negotiations with Iran, Trump stated that the negotiations are ongoing, saying, "They want to do something; let's see if a concrete result will come out."

Recalling the "Midnight Hammer Operation" targeting Iran's nuclear facilities, Trump said, "They had a chance before, but it didn't work, and we carried out the 'Midnight Hammer' Operation. I don't think they want that to happen again. They want to negotiate. We are currently actively engaging with them." Trump refrained from providing details about the location and timing of the planned meetings within the negotiations.
