While the silent logo change at the Ardahan Governorship sparked controversy, following a report by Haberler.com, the logo was changed for the second time and the Turkish flag was reintroduced into the logo.
Following the appointment of Mehmet Fatih Çiçekli as the Governor of Ardahan with the Governor's Decree published at the beginning of January, his first action drew public attention. Without any announcement, a logo change was made on the official social media accounts of the Ardahan Governorship, which operates under the name "TC Ardahan Governorship."
THE TURKISH FLAG WAS REMOVED FROM THE LOGO The old logo, which had been used for years, featured the Turkish Flag, the symbol of Ardahan Castle from the city's defense history, snowy mountains representing the region's geographical structure, and figures of the historical stone bridge over the Kura River. With the silent change, all of these symbols were removed, and a new logo consisting of snowflakes and leaf figures was adopted.
