The audit meeting of TRT took place in the Turkish Grand National Assembly's State Economic Enterprises (KİT) Commission. During the meeting, the issue of actress Aybüke Pusat, who supported the boycott, being removed from TRT's series "Teşkilat" was brought up. TRT General Manager Zahid Sobacı stated that no actor's political views are considered at TRT, but if an actor supports a call for a boycott against TRT, the employer has the right to remove them from TRT.
The TBMM Public Economic Enterprises Commission was marked by Aybüke Pusat. TRT General Manager Zahid Sobacı responded to the criticisms regarding Pusat's removal from the series cast, who shared a boycott call on her social media account.
A meeting was held in the TBMM Public Economic Enterprises (KİT) Commission to oversee TRT. While tensions frequently rose in the commission, the removal of Aybüke Pusat, who supported the consumption boycott on April 2, came to the agenda.
"THEY EITHER KILL YOU OR DECLARE YOU A TRAITOR"
CHP Deputy Chairman Deniz Yavuzyılmaz spoke on the matter:
"I say this regarding the boycott call that led to your decision to separate Aybüke Pusat from the series, considering her statement as flawed; there was a boycott initiated by the dynamics of the people themselves. If you investigate, you will see that it was not initiated by a political party. Aybüke Pusat left the Teşkilat series, meaning you separated her. I also said, 'What will they do with the character? They will either kill her or declare her a traitor.' I said it would be one of these two, you killed her, look at the grave."
"THE AYBÜKE PUSAT ISSUE IS SUCH A SIMPLE MATTER"
TRT General Manager Zahid Sobacı made statements regarding Aybüke Pusat's removal from the series:
"In TRT, no actor's political views, social circles, previous life, lifestyle, etc., are taken into account. If they were, Aybüke wouldn't have acted from the beginning. If you respond to accusations in reverse, then Aybüke should never have entered TRT's door.
Aybüke has joined the Teşkilat series and has acted for about 2 years. There has never been a problem. However, if she supports a boycott call that includes TRT, as an employer, it is TRT's most natural right to exclude someone who says, 'don't watch me, don't watch TRT, boycott.' Just as employment is a natural right, excluding someone is also a natural right. Because TRT's corporate reputation, TRT's brand value, is above everything. It is above the general manager and the board of directors. It is above any series or ratings. Therefore, the Aybüke Pusat issue is such a simple matter. There is no need to turn this into a political material."
