DRUNK DRIVER CRASHED INTO A CAR FROM BEHIND

The accident occurred around 21:00 in the İbrahim Öktem Boulevard of the University Neighborhood. According to the information obtained, R.Ş. (24) crashed into the car with license plate 70 DS 040, driven by E.H.K., which had stopped to give way to pedestrians at a crosswalk. As a result of the collision, the bicycle rider was thrown onto the road, and the car's rear tire burst. Upon notification, health and police teams were dispatched to the scene. R.Ş., who refused treatment from the health team that arrived at the accident site, was later subjected to an alcohol test by the police.

Displeased with the photo taken by the alcohol measuring device, the driver told the police officer, "I looked very ugly." R.Ş., who was fined 27,944 lira for various offenses, was taken to the police station for his statement, while his electric bicycle was towed to the parking lot.
