A 33-year-old psychologist, Nurselen Gülaçtı, was killed by 51-year-old Fuat Yıldırım following a dispute at the printing house owned by Yıldırım in Ankara.

A chilling murder was committed in Ankara. 51-year-old Fuat Yıldırım argued with 33-year-old Nurselen Gülaçtı, a psychologist working at a private institution, in his printing shop in the Çankaya district yesterday.

SHOT IN THE HEAD

During the argument, Yıldırım shot Nurselen Gülaçtı in the head with a gun. Nurselen Gülaçtı died at the scene. Fuat Yıldırım was taken into custody by the police after the incident.

FAREWELL TO HER LAST JOURNEY

A funeral ceremony was held for Nurselen Gülaçtı at the Karşıyaka Cemetery. Many citizens attended the ceremony, along with her family and relatives. Gülaçtı's body was laid to rest in tears after the prayer performed in the afternoon.

"OUR PAIN IS GREAT"

Nurselen Gülaçtı's brother, Onur Enes Gülaçtı, claimed that Fuat Yıldırım was obsessed with his sister, stating, "He called her to talk for the last time. She was going to move to another city next week. We had made a plan just for her to escape this murderer. Before the incident, he sent messages to my sister, saying 'I will finish you.' The attacker had previously been imprisoned for drug offenses. Our pain is immense; we cannot understand how someone like this can be released from prison and continue to commit crimes. We are strong, and we stand behind our case. We do not want any more women to suffer."

"HE WAS TRYING TO FORCE A MEETING"

Onur Enes Gülaçtı stated that his sister met the suspect in a suspicious work environment, saying, "She had no relationship with him. We also learned that the suspect had previously issued fake invoices. My sister didn't even drink alcohol; she was a reserved person. She had completed her second university degree. She wanted to be a psychologist and support children. She had disabled students and was involved with them. She aimed to pursue a master's degree and wanted to open a kindergarten. We had encountered the attacker once. I told him that my sister did not want to meet him. He expressed that his intentions were serious and that he was a decent person. I stated that he was not suitable for our family and that my sister did not want him either. He was trying to force a meeting. A day before the incident, he sent messages to my sister and tried to provoke an argument," he said. Nurselen Gülaçtı's mother said, "We demand the death penalty for femicides. No other mothers should suffer."

"WE WILL NOT ALLOW THE SOFTENING OF FEMICIDES"

The family's lawyer, Gizem Yıldırım, also stated, "Our client was not the perpetrator's girlfriend. The perpetrator is a person with obsessive behaviors who developed unilateral interest and obsession towards our client. We do not label this incident as a relationship crisis or a relationship issue. Because we will not allow the softening of femicides with such characterizations as love or relationship crisis. This both renders social violence invisible and distorts the truth. We are following the case to ensure that the investigation is conducted meticulously and that all evidence is collected thoroughly."

HE WAS ARRESTED

Meanwhile, Fuat Yıldırım was referred to the courthouse after his procedures at the police station. Yıldırım was arrested by the duty magistrate for the crime of 'intentional murder against a woman' and sent to prison.
