Following Israel's ground operation in Gaza, a statement was made by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The statement said, "In a period where negotiations are ongoing, Israel's expansion of its attacks in Gaza undermines all efforts to achieve peace and stability."
"WE REITERATE OUR CALL FOR AN URGENT CEASEFIRE"
This situation has once again shown that Israel has no intention of reaching a lasting peace. We reiterate our call for an immediate end to the operations conducted in various regions of Gaza, to allow humanitarian aid to enter Gaza, and to ensure an urgent ceasefire," the statement included.
"WE INVITE THE INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY TO TAKE ACTION"
The statement invited the international community to take action for peace in the region, stating, "It is of great importance for the international community to take effective and decisive steps against Israel in order to establish regional peace and security. We call on the international community to act in accordance with its legal and humanitarian obligations."

The Israeli army announced that it has launched a large-scale ground operation in the north and south of Gaza. In a statement, Israel Defense Forces (IDF) Spokesperson Avichai Adrai said, "Recently, active and reserve forces of the Defense Forces launched a comprehensive ground operation in the north and south of the Gaza Strip as part of Operation Gideon's War Chariots."
