The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry continues to expose businesses that engage in imitation or adulteration in the food sector. Recently, one of the leading brands in the spice industry, Arifoğlu, was added to the list. It was found that the dietary supplement associated with the brand did not contain the vitamins and minerals specified on the label. Additionally, it was determined that the sweet red pepper spice from the same brand contained tomatoes.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry has been regularly publishing a list of businesses that engage in imitation and adulteration in the food sector since last October. A new scandal emerged in the latest list published by the ministry on June 19.
LABEL GAME IN VITAMINS
It was determined that a dietary supplement belonging to one of the leading brands in the spice sector, Arifoğlu, did not contain the vitamins and minerals declared on the label. As a result of the ministry's inspections, it was found that the product marketed under the name "Hamdard İlaç Sanayi ve Ticaret Limited Şirketi Ahmet Arifoğlu," although claimed to contain Vitamin C, B1, B2, B12, and Calcium Extracts, did not have any of these substances according to laboratory analyses.
TOMATO DETECTED IN GROUND RED PEPPER
On the other hand, tomatoes were detected in the "Ground 1KG sweet red pepper" spice marketed under the company name "Arifoğlu Baharat ve Gıda Sanayi Limited Şirketi Arifoğlu" and the brand "Arifoğlu." Both products were included in the ministry's list.
