The city stadium in Iğdır, completed with the participation of Youth and Sports Minister Osman Aşkın Bak, former Youth and Sports Minister and İzmir Deputy Mehmet Muharrem Kasapoğlu, AK Party Iğdır Deputy and Iğdırspor Alagöz Holding President Cantürk Alagöz, along with many guests and citizens, was inaugurated in a ceremony.

STADIUM CAPACITY 6 THOUSAND In his speech at the ceremony, Minister of Youth and Sports Osman Aşkın Bak stated that it was a special day, saying, "We have brought the rise in sports contributed by our esteemed deputy to this point with our support. As expressed, we will open this boutique stadium, which truly befits the city, with a capacity of approximately 6 thousand, continuing the process that started with our previous minister."
'THIS INVESTMENT WILL CONTINUE' Minister Bak, stating that a revolution has taken place in sports facilities in Turkey, said, "Turkey, which has completed nearly 40 stadiums and reached the capacity to organize the 2032 European Football Championship together with Italy, is a country that has the most modern stadiums in the world according to UEFA and FIFA standards. This dynamism in cities reflects everywhere with the unifying and healing power of football and sports. Today, Iğdır is also benefiting from this under the leadership of Mr. Cantürk. We love him very much. He is a person who, even before becoming a deputy, was involved with the sports club and provided great support to sports in previous processes, sponsoring; he has made efforts to keep young people away from harmful habits such as drugs, digital addiction, bad habits, alcohol, and gambling. One of our biggest goals as the Ministry of Youth and Sports is to keep young people away from these harmful habits that harm society. The remedy for this, the way, is sports, to direct young people to sports. While we, as the Ministry of Youth and Sports, brought this beautiful work to our city, we put forth a beautiful collaboration intertwined with the club and the city. Of course, these investments will continue," he stated.
'HOPE AND LIGHT FOR YOUTH' Continuing his words, Minister Bak said, "We are working to elevate Iğdır to a whole new level with the semi-Olympic swimming pool, the multi-purpose sports hall under construction, the artificial turf fields, and other sports facilities and youth centers that we will implement in the future. Our deputy and provincial chairman also expressed in the meeting; young people need attention, and we need to set a goal for them. As our provincial chairman said, 'Iğdırspor is the hope and light for young people through sports.' It truly is. Here, there are shining infrastructure teams from U12 to U19. Significant investments have also been made in other branches, especially basketball, with approximately 150 athletes involved. Good things have happened, and they will continue to happen. We are witnesses to this. God willing, we foresee doing more for Iğdır.
MINISTER BAK FOLLOWED THE MATCH Minister Bak and the accompanying delegation visited the stadium, greeted the football fans, and later watched the Iğdır FK - Manisa FK match.
